10:16 pm: Well I have been noodling with this image off and on for the past few days, and I have brought it to a point where I think I am satisfied.

( colored version of the colliecock image from my last post. Contains an erection :o )
This was a fun image to do, mostly because it has a penis and I need practice drawin' thems. I was cracking myself up detailing it with the veins and etc. I found it even funnier when texaschampion pointed out that his nuts are bigger than his waist.

I need to do more scribbly stuff. I love doing it, and I usually make it look pretty good. I just kind of feel like an image has to be neat for it to be good, which is wayyyy wrong.

11:09 pm: Today I made a little clay jackalope head, because drawing those horns in perspective is turning out to be kind of a bitch :p I tried to get a good photo of the little thing, but the camera doesn't like it, so you will just have to do with these sketches. I'd like to make a bigger head someday, and fix the horns! This is a very useful little prop, I can turn it and look at it from different angles, etc. What do they call these? Maquettes? I know animators use them, and I can see why :p Hadn't worked with clay in a while, it was fun!

I was talking to my buddy earlier today, and asked him for some ideas for a drawing. One of them was a fox hunting a beagle, possibly riding a horse. Well, There's no beagle, and no horse, but I loved the idea of a fox in hunting gear (although I'm sure it's been done many times before!). After some research into the garb of foxhunters, ( this tame, yet probably NSFW image happened ) It has been noted that her right leg is wonky, and it is :p LEGS ARE SO AUGH They are so pretty and have such defined curves and angles, but it is so hard to make those curves look how they are supposed to! BWAGH!

10:41 pm: This turned out great and I am very proud of myself for sticking with this image through to completion! I still want to work on it, but it's as done as it's gonna be for now. I hope you like it as much as I do :DDD It took about 5 hrs, all told.

Also, I have a furaffinity site now! My username is kabukihomewood, and I intend to use that space for finished works only, but I will post sketches and doodles and prelims and WIP's here.

A note . . . I had to take off my necklace to do this image, and I felt frikkin' naked without it on.

11:12 pm: I know in the last post I made, I said I was drawing myself as a red panda? Well, that's changed. Too many red-pandas, and one over at FA has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and tan markings . . . pretty much exactly how I was gonna draw myself. I don't want to infringe on her turf though, and I want to have a memorable, interesting character that I could relate to. I wasn't all that into the red panda version anyway.

I like her MUCH more, and have been doodling her like crazy. Reference used, from a photo the boy took of me a while back. Pretty much exactly how I look, only I have long, curly hair IRL. I plan on getting a short short cut like this in the summer though.

So yeah, jackalope. I used to live in AZ, and I wanted my char to reflect that desert environment, because I miss it there so much <3 She's marked up like a pronghorn antelope :D I can't wait to color this! But I have to go to bed! That and my fingers are starting to sieze up.

This takes up one whole 8.5x11" sheet of cardstock, "inked" with a .05 mech pencil. Color adjustment in Photoshop, and I have started tweaking the linework on the eyes.

03:17 pm: hahaha, I guess my last post was a bit misleading, as there isn't ANY art here since august! Augh! I am very absent-minded, you see, and for a while there I was also not producing much artwork. Recently, I have been drawing a lot more, so I will try to start posting some stuff soon.

I just want to say thanks to the folks who have friended me, I had no idea until I just checked today! I'm so flattered that you like my stuff enough to friend an empty journal, haha.

But first, off to Victoria's Secret to spend my Xmas gift card from the boyfriend!
